Can you bring a bottle warmer on a plane with All Nippon Airways when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a bottle warmer on All Nippon Airways (ANA)

Short answer: Yes — you can bring a bottle warmer when flying with ANA, but follow carry-on, battery and liquid rules.

  • Carry-on preferred: Pack the warmer in your carry-on so you can access it and batteries (if any).
  • Electric or USB warmers: Allowed in carry-on. If the unit contains a lithium-ion battery, ensure the battery is within airline limits — batteries over 100 Wh need airline approval; batteries above 160 Wh are not permitted on passenger aircraft.
  • Spare batteries: Must be carried in the cabin, not checked baggage, and protected from short circuits.
  • Warmers with liquids: If you bring water or breast milk/formula to use with the warmer, declare these at security — baby food and milk are exempt from the 100 ml rule but must be screened.
  • Fuel or gas-powered devices: Items using flammable fuel are not allowed.

Tip: If unsure about your specific model or battery capacity, check the device label for Wh/mAh and confirm with ANA before travel.
