Can you bring a bottle warmer on a plane with Delta Air Lines when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a bottle warmer on Delta

You can bring a bottle warmer on a Delta flight. Carry it in your carry‑on when possible, especially if it contains a lithium battery. It may need to be screened separately at security.

  • Battery rules: If the warmer has a built‑in lithium battery, installed batteries are generally allowed in carry‑on. Spare lithium batteries (power banks) must be carried in the cabin and not checked. Very large batteries (>100 Wh) may require airline approval; >160 Wh are typically prohibited.
  • Checked baggage: Avoid placing battery‑powered warmers in checked bags. Devices without batteries or simple warmers (water/insulated types) can go in checked or carry‑on.
  • Baby liquids: Warmed bottles, breast milk, formula, and baby food are exempt from the 3.4 oz/100 ml limit but must be declared at security and will be screened.
  • Practical tips: Carry the charger and any spare batteries in your carry‑on, label items if helpful, and be ready to power the unit on for inspection if asked by security or Delta staff.
