Bringing a bottle warmer on Hawaiian Airlines

You generally may bring a bottle warmer on board or in checked baggage when flying Hawaiian Airlines. Keep these points in mind:

  • Carry-on is best: small electric warmers are allowed in carry-on and may need to be placed separately for security screening.
  • Lithium batteries: if the warmer contains a built‑in lithium‑ion battery or uses a removable battery, the battery (and any spares) must be carried in the cabin. Batteries up to 100 Wh are normally permitted; 100–160 Wh require airline approval; over 160 Wh are not allowed.
  • No fuel/open flame devices: fuel‑based or flame heaters are prohibited.
  • Using on board: cabin power or outlets may be unavailable or use may be restricted by crew — assume you may not be able to plug in during flight.
  • Security screening: expect the device to be screened separately by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers.
  • When in doubt: contact Hawaiian Airlines or check their baggage policy before travel if your warmer has unusual power/battery features.

If you prefer simplicity on travel day, pre‑warm bottles, bring an insulated bottle bag, or a thermos of warm water — these are practical backups if you can’t use the warmer in flight.
