Can you bring a stroller on a plane with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a stroller on KLM

Yes. KLM allows you to bring a stroller (pushchair/pram) when travelling with an infant. In practice you can usually take one stroller (and a car seat) in addition to the infant allowance, free of charge.

  • Gate check or check-in: You can normally bring the stroller to the aircraft door and hand it over (gate-checked) or check it at the check-in desk. When gate-checked it is often returned at the aircraft door on arrival where possible.
  • Cabin use: Very small, fully folded strollers may fit in the cabin if they meet space limits, but this is not guaranteed — plan to check it if unsure.
  • Prepare the stroller: Collapse it, remove loose items, and attach a name tag to help identification.
  • Using a car seat onboard: If you buy a separate seat for your baby and want to use a car seat, use an aviation-approved car seat and confirm acceptance with KLM before travel.
  • Check before you fly: Procedures can vary by airport and route, so confirm details with KLM or your booking confirmation ahead of travel.
