Can you bring a travel stroller on a plane with Emirates when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a travel stroller on Emirates

Emirates generally allows a single collapsible/pushchair stroller per child free of charge. You can normally take it to the gate and it will be gate-checked and returned at the aircraft door on arrival (some airports may return it at baggage reclaim).

  • Gate-checked stroller: Take to the aircraft door; cabin crew will tag and stow it in the hold.
  • Carry-on compact strollers: If it folds small enough to fit in an overhead locker, you may be allowed to store it in the cabin subject to space.
  • Battery-powered strollers: Check with Emirates before travel. Removable batteries usually must be carried in the cabin; non-removable batteries may require approval or be prohibited.
  • Large or non-folding strollers: These are usually checked as baggage and count toward your baggage allowance.
  • Travel tips: Label the stroller with your name/flight, remove loose items, and arrive early at the gate to hand it over smoothly.

If you have specific model questions or need confirmation for a powered stroller, contact Emirates ahead of time to avoid surprises.
