Yes. American Airlines follows TSA rules: baby formula — powdered or ready-to-feed — is allowed in carry-on and checked baggage. Liquids (ready-to-feed formula, expressed breast milk) are exempt from the 3.4 oz/100 mL limit but must be declared at the security checkpoint for separate screening. Powdered formula is allowed; containers larger than 12 oz (350 mL) may require additional screening and could be opened or tested. If security cannot clear an item, it may need to be placed in checked baggage or disposed of.
