Can you bring baby formula powder on a plane with Breeze Airways?

Yes. You may bring powdered baby formula on board when flying with Breeze Airways. Breeze follows the same U.S. security and airline practice standards that allow parents and caregivers to carry baby food and formula (including powdered formula) for children on board.

  • Carry-on is best: Keep powdered formula in your carry-on so you can access it during the flight and present it separately at the security checkpoint if asked.
  • Screening: Powder-like substances may be screened separately. Powders greater than about 12 ounces (350 mL) can require additional screening and may need to be opened for inspection or tested. If the TSA can’t clear the item by X-ray, they may ask you to open the container or perform other screening procedures.
  • Amount: There is no strict small-quantity limit for baby formula like the 3.4 oz liquid rule—baby formula (powder or prepared) needed for your child’s flight is allowed in reasonable amounts.
  • Prepared formula and liquids: If you bring prepared (liquid) formula or water to mix, those liquids are allowed in quantities greater than the 3.4 oz limit for children’s feeding needs but should be declared to the security officer at the checkpoint.
  • Packed and labeled: Keeping the powder in its original packaging or clearly labeled containers and using pre-measured single-serve packets or scoop containers can speed screening and make mixing easy on the aircraft.
  • Bring extras and supplies: Pack extra formula, scoops, and a few sealed bottles of water or a means to obtain water for mixing—delays happen and it’s better to have a backup.
  • Flight crew assistance: Flight attendants can often help with warming bottles or providing water for mixing, but warming policies vary so plan ahead and bring a thermos of warm water if you expect a need for warmed feedings.
  • International travel: If you’re flying internationally or through foreign airports, check the destination and transit airport security rules and airline policies in advance because screening procedures and limits can differ by country.

Tip: At security, tell the officer you have baby formula/powder and show it separately when requested. Staying calm and prepared speeds the process and keeps your trip comfortable for you and your baby.
