Can you bring breast milk on a plane with Spirit Airlines when traveling with a baby?

Bringing breast milk on a Spirit Airlines flight

Yes — you can bring breast milk when flying with Spirit. Follow TSA screening rules and Spirit’s usual allowance for infant items:

  • Carry it in your carry-on when possible — this makes screening and access easier.
  • Breast milk is exempt from the 3.4 oz/100 ml rule, so larger amounts are allowed for infants. Declare it at the security checkpoint.
  • Security will screen the milk separately. If X-ray is refused for privacy, an alternative inspection (like opening the container) may be offered.
  • Frozen milk, ice packs, and coolers are permitted. Partially melted ice is usually allowed but must be declared and screened.
  • Breast pumps and spare parts can be carried through security; they may be X-rayed separately.
  • For international travel or specific baggage questions (limits, fees, connecting carriers), check with Spirit before you fly and arrive early to allow time for screening.
