Can you bring breast milk on a plane with Sun Country Airlines when traveling with a baby?

Bringing breast milk on Sun Country Airlines

Yes — you may bring breast milk in carry‑on when flying Sun Country. Sun Country follows U.S. security rules that exempt breast milk and formula from the 3.4 oz (100 mL) liquid limit. At security you should declare the milk to the officer and present it separately for screening; additional inspection may be required.

  • Amounts: Reasonable quantities for the trip are allowed even if over 3.4 oz.
  • Frozen/refrigerated: Frozen or chilled breast milk and ice packs are permitted; frozen items may also be subject to separate screening.
  • Pumps & accessories: Breast pumps and parts are allowed in carry‑on. Expect them to be screened separately; spare lithium batteries should stay in carry‑on.
  • Labeling & packing: Use clear bottles or sealed bags and pack in an insulated cooler if desired. Labeling helps but is not required.
  • Onboard: Flight attendants can usually assist, but aircraft storage/temperature for milk is not guaranteed — bring enough supply and cooler packs.
  • International travel: Check the destination’s rules and any additional airline restrictions for international segments or partner carriers.
