Can you bring a baby carrier on a plane with Aeromexico when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a baby carrier on Aeroméxico

Short answer: Yes — you can bring and use a baby carrier (wrap, sling, soft structured carrier) on Aeroméxico flights.

  • Use onboard: You may wear the carrier during boarding and most of the flight. Crew may ask you to remove the baby during taxi, takeoff or landing for safety or if asked to use a seat restraint provided by the airline.
  • Security screening: At security the carrier itself may need to go through the X‑ray. You may be asked to remove the baby so staff can inspect the carrier or perform a manual check.
  • Carry-on allowance: A small carrier usually counts as your infant personal item. If it’s bulky it might need to be stowed in the overhead or gate‑checked — check with the agent at check‑in or the gate.
  • If you want a car seat on board: A certified child restraint must meet regulations and you should reserve a seat for the child. Confirm acceptance with AeromĂ©xico beforehand.
  • Tip: Tell the gate agent you’re traveling with an infant — they’ll confirm whether the carrier can stay with you or needs gate check.
