Because airline child policies change — and parents shouldn’t have to hunt for answers.
Short answer: you cannot bring and install your own full-size bassinet on board. Virgin Atlantic provides a limited number of airline-approved bassinets on selected long-haul aircraft and they must be requested in advance.
What to expect and what to do:
If you’re unsure whether your flight is eligible for a bassinet or about age/weight rules, contact Virgin Atlantic reservations before traveling and request a bulkhead seat and bassinet allocation as early as possible. The crew will confirm on the day whether a bassinet can be fitted.
