Bringing a portable crib on Breeze Airways

You can usually bring a portable crib (pack ’n play / foldable travel crib) when flying with a baby, but Breeze treats it as special baggage and policies can vary. Portable cribs cannot be used as an onboard seat or bed; only FAA‑approved child seats can be used in a passenger seat.

  • Check with Breeze before travel: confirm whether they accept your specific crib, any size/weight limits, and whether a fee applies.
  • Gate‑check vs. checked baggage: many airlines allow collapsible cribs to be gate‑checked for free, but some require regular baggage check and fees. Verify for Breeze.
  • Prepare the crib: collapse it, place in a protective bag, and label it with your name and flight info.
  • At the airport: arrive early, inform the agent at check‑in or the gate, and get a gate‑check tag if available. Keep any receipts in case of damage.
  • If you need a child restraint onboard: bring an FAA‑approved car seat—cribs are not acceptable for securing a child during flight.
