Can you bring a stroller on a plane with Virgin Atlantic when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a stroller on Virgin Atlantic

Yes — Virgin Atlantic generally allows one stroller (pushchair) per infant, free of charge. Most families can use the stroller through the terminal and then have it gate‑checked at the aircraft door so it’s returned at the gate on arrival. Alternatively it can be checked at the bag drop.

  • Gate‑check: Fold the stroller and hand it to the crew at the aircraft door; you can use it in the airport until boarding.
  • Checked with luggage: If you prefer, leave it at check‑in and it will travel in the hold.
  • Small/compact strollers: Some very small, fully folded umbrella strollers may be allowed as carry‑on if they meet the cabin baggage size — confirm with Virgin Atlantic first.
  • Car seats: Approved car seats can usually be checked or used on the aircraft if you’ve purchased a seat for the child; check approval labels and Virgin’s guidance.
  • Practical tips: Tag and secure the stroller, remove loose items, and arrive early to confirm procedures at check‑in.

If unsure, contact Virgin Atlantic before travel to confirm for your route and the specific stroller model.
