Bringing a car seat on Aeromexico

Aeromexico allows car seats on board when used with a purchased seat for the child. Please check and follow these points:

  • You must buy a separate seat for the child to use a car seat on the aircraft.
  • The car seat must be certified for aircraft use — look for the manufacturer label saying it is approved for use in motor vehicles and aircraft (or similar wording).
  • Install the car seat according to the manufacturer’s instructions and airline crew directions; crew may ask to verify proper installation.
  • Car seats should not be used in exit rows and must fit within a single aircraft seat (width limits vary by aircraft).
  • If you plan to gate-check or check the car seat, ask Aeromexico staff at check-in or the gate about their current handling and any allowances.
  • If the child will be a lap infant (no purchased seat), a car seat cannot be used on board — lap infants must remain on the adult’s lap per regulations.

If you want certainty for your specific flight or seat type, contact Aeromexico before travel so staff can confirm carriage, installation rules, and handling of the car seat and stroller.
