Can you bring baby medicine on a plane with Emirates when traveling with a baby?

Bringing baby medicine on an Emirates flight

You can travel with baby medicines on Emirates. Essential medicines and baby food/liquids needed during the flight are allowed in carry-on even if they exceed 100 ml, but they must be presented separately for security screening.

  • Carry medicines in your hand luggage so they are accessible during the journey.
  • Keep medicines in original packaging with labels and, if possible, a prescription or a doctor’s note showing they are for the child.
  • Declare liquids and medications at security — security may need to X-ray or test them and will screen them separately from other liquids.
  • Baby formula, breast milk and expressed milk are allowed in reasonable quantities for the trip and also require separate screening.
  • If you travel with syringes or injectable medicines (for example insulin), bring a doctor’s note or prescription and declare them at security; keep needles and sharps in an appropriate container.
  • Carry extra supplies in case of delays, and keep dosing instructions handy.
  • Inform cabin crew if you need assistance warming bottles or storing medication; they can usually help but services vary by flight.
  • Check local rules for controlled medicines at your destination — some countries require additional documentation or limit certain substances.
