- Plug-in (no battery): Allowed in carry-on or checked baggage. For convenience and security checks, many parents keep it in carry-on.
- Battery-powered / portable warmers: Spare lithium batteries must be carried in the cabin (not checked). Batteries up to 100 Wh are normally permitted; 100–160 Wh need airline approval.
- If it contains water: Empty the unit before security. Baby food/milk for a baby is exempt from the 100 ml liquid rule, but the warmer itself should be empty.
- On board help: Flight attendants can usually provide warm water to warm bottles if you prefer not to use your device.
For absolute certainty, mention the device at check-in or call Virgin Atlantic before travel. Pack the warmer in carry-on and keep batteries with you.
