Bringing baby snacks on Qatar Airways

Yes — you can bring baby food, milk and snacks on board when flying with Qatar Airways. Items for infants are allowed in carry‑on even if they exceed the usual liquid limits, but you should follow security screening rules and airline procedures.

  • What to bring: solid snacks (biscuits, fruit pieces), prepared baby food jars or pouches, infant formula, breast milk and expressed milk.
  • Security screening: declare any liquids, purees or milk at the security checkpoint. These items may be inspected and you may be asked to open containers for testing.
  • Quantity: carry a reasonable amount for the journey (including delays). There’s no fixed strict limit for baby food, but keep amounts sensible and for immediate use.
  • Cold items and ice packs: frozen items that are completely solid may pass screening more easily. Gel cold packs are allowed but are subject to additional screening and must follow security officer instructions.
  • Onboard: cabin crew can usually help warm bottles or food, but warming facilities can be limited; consider bringing a thermos or insulated pouch.
  • Checked baggage: you can also pack snacks in checked bags, but perishable items are safer in the cabin where you can control temperature and access during the flight.
  • Destination rules: some countries restrict bringing fresh foods across borders—check customs rules of your destination before travel.

Tip: pack snacks in clear resealable bags, keep utensils and wipes handy, and notify security staff politely when you have baby food so screening goes smoothly.
