Can you bring breast milk on a plane with Etihad Airways when traveling with a baby?

Bringing breast milk on Etihad when traveling with a baby

Yes. Etihad allows passengers traveling with an infant to carry breast milk, formula and baby food in carry‑on baggage. Liquids for babies may exceed the usual 100 ml limit but must be declared and will be screened separately at security.

  • Pack in carry‑on: Keep breast milk with you — checked baggage is not recommended because of temperature and access issues.
  • Declare at security: Tell security officers you have breast milk/food so it can be inspected (may include X‑ray or manual check).
  • Frozen or chilled OK: Frozen milk and ice packs are allowed; they may also be screened.
  • Bring enough: Carry extra for delays or diversion.
  • Breast pumps and parts: Allowed in carry‑on (consider packing spare batteries/chargers and sanitary covers).
  • Label and ID: Label containers and have the infant’s boarding pass or ID handy to show you’re traveling with the baby.
