Bringing a bottle warmer on Emirates

You can usually bring a bottle warmer on board with Emirates, but follow these practical rules:

  • Carry-on is best: Pack the warmer in your hand luggage so you can access it and so any batteries (if fitted) comply with security rules.
  • Battery rules: If the warmer has a lithium battery, spare batteries must be in carry-on only. Batteries under 100 Wh are normally fine; batteries between 100–160 Wh need airline approval and are limited in number.
  • Security screening: The device will need X‑ray screening. If it contains liquid or a filled bottle, declare baby milk/formula at the checkpoint — these are allowed in quantities greater than 100 ml for infants.
  • Using it onboard: On many Emirates flights cabin crew can warm bottles for you. In-seat power outlets vary by aircraft and class, so don’t rely on being able to plug in—ask the crew if you need help.
  • Checked baggage: You can check a non-battery unit, but valuables and battery-powered items are safer in the cabin.

If in doubt, check the specific model’s battery Wh rating and confirm with Emirates before travel.
