Security

Getting Through Arlanda Security With Kids

Family lane

Swedavia publishes no family lane at Arlanda. Terminal 2 has a regular checkpoint with paid Fast Track beside it; Terminal 5 has the newer 5F control, with Fast Track at the far end of the departures hall. Terminal 2 security is open daily 04:30 to 21:00 and Terminal 5 daily 03:45 to 22:00, opening 2 hours before departure for flights before 05:00.

Strollers and car seats

Swedavia doesn't publish a stroller screening rule. Most airlines ask you to check in your own stroller as special baggage, and you can borrow one after check-in in Terminals 2 and 5.

Formula, milk and baby food

Baby formula, squeeze pouches and jars of baby food needed for the flight are allowed in hand baggage. Take them out at the checkpoint; they don't need to go in the same plastic bag as your other liquids.

Shoes and jackets

Swedavia publishes no special shoe rule for children. Outer clothing, headwear and large metal items such as belts go in a tray.

TSA PreCheck with kids

Not applicable outside the US. Arlanda offers Fast Track, bought through your airline.
