If you’re flying on a U.S. or Canadian Certified Air Carrier, you can bring your aircraft approved car seat onboard. International Airline rules vary. Passengers should always review the airline policy on child restraint system use before travel — some have age limits, some only allow forward-facing car seats, and some require advance notice.
