Can you bring a bottle warmer on a plane with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines when traveling with a baby?

Bringing a bottle warmer on KLM

Short answer: Yes — you can normally bring a bottle warmer when flying with a baby on KLM, but follow security and battery/liquid rules.

  • Carry-on is best: Electric or battery-powered warmers should be packed in your hand luggage so they can be screened and kept with you.
  • Liquids: If the warmer contains water, it’s subject to security rules. Baby milk, formula and feeding water are allowed in reasonable amounts for infants — declare them at security.
  • Batteries: Spare lithium batteries must be carried in the cabin (not checked) and terminals must be protected. Devices with installed batteries are usually fine in carry-on.
  • Screening: You may need to remove the warmer for separate X‑ray and it should be empty or shown to officers if asked.
  • Tip: Pack it where you can reach it and check KLM’s latest rules before travel if you have an unusual model.
