Joolz Day+ Review
Joolz Day+ is the only premium full-size stroller that includes both a bassinet and a toddler seat in the box — competitors at $1,000+ charge $200–$400 extra for the bassinet. Combined with Joolz's 10-year transferable warranty (longest in the industry), it delivers the lowest total cost of ownership among European luxury strollers when you factor in included accessories and warranty coverage. At 29.5 lbs, it is the heaviest non-Stokke stroller in the premium sub-cluster.

Day+ Specifications
Travel Score — How Airplane-Friendly Is the Day+?
37" x 23.4" x 13.8" with seat (large); 27" x 23.4" x 12" without seat (124L — compact). If you remove the seat before gate check, the fold is competitive; with seat attached, it is one of the larger packages.
29.5 lbs with seat; 31.3 lbs with bassinet attached. Heaviest non-Stokke stroller in the premium sub-cluster. Demanding for one-person airport carry through terminals.
All-wheel suspension handles terminal surfaces adequately. 23.4" wheelbase is standard. The upright freestanding fold means you can stand it up at the gate without it tipping.
One-hand compact fold is straightforward once learned. Seat removal takes 10–15 seconds before folding for the more compact 124L package. Upright freestanding position aids hands-free gate handling.
ASTM F833-21 compliant. Joolz is JPMA/BSA certified. No CPSC recalls identified. Accepted gate-check free on all major US and major European carriers.
Gate Check & Airline Info
Gate-checked free on all major US carriers including Delta, American, United, Southwest, and JetBlue. At 29.5 lbs, it is within US airline gate-check weight limits — American eliminated its 20-lb cap in 2024. The folded dimensions with seat (37" x 23.4" x 13.8") are large, particularly the 37" length. Without the seat (27" x 23.4" x 12") the fold is significantly more manageable. Remove the seat before gate-checking for the most practical carry option.

Who Should Buy the Joolz Day+?
Complete-from-day-one families
The Day+ includes everything needed from birth to toddlerhood in the box — bassinet for newborns, toddler seat for 6 months onward. No additional purchases required to get started, which simplifies the purchase decision and eliminates common accessory regret.
Long-term stroller owners
The 10-year transferable warranty is the longest in the market. For parents who plan to use the same stroller for multiple children over many years, the Day+ warranty provides coverage well beyond the useful life of most strollers.
Buyers who value European design heritage
Joolz is a Dutch-designed brand with a strong sustainability and quality reputation in Europe. The Day+ uses premium materials, all-wheel suspension, and puncture-proof wheels that reflect a design-quality focus comparable to Bugaboo at a lower price point.
Parents selling after 2 years
The 10-year transferable warranty makes the Day+ more attractive to used-market buyers than competitors with shorter warranties. Resale at 51% of $1,099 ($560) is strong for this weight class, and the warranty adds buyer confidence.
Key Features — What Makes the Day+ Stand Out
Everything-Included Bundle
The Joolz Day+ ships with both the bassinet (for newborn use from birth) and the toddler seat in the same box. Competitors at this price point — Bugaboo Fox 5, Cybex Priam 4, Stokke Xplory X, Silver Cross Reef 2 — charge $200–$400 for the bassinet separately. This makes the Day+'s $1,099 price genuinely more comprehensive than competitors' headline prices suggest.
10-Year Transferable Warranty
Joolz's warranty runs 10 years from original purchase date and transfers to second owners — the longest warranty in the stroller industry. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the frame, wheels, and seat structure. This coverage period exceeds the useful lifespan of most strollers and directly supports resale value: used Day+ buyers get remaining warranty coverage, not just a used product.
All-Wheel Suspension System
The Day+ uses all-wheel independent suspension with puncture-proof wheels on all four corners. The front wheels swivel for maneuverability and lock for straight-line stability. The suspension absorbs road vibration across urban pavement, park paths, and light gravel, maintaining ride comfort across the full terrain range that city-suburb families use daily.
Reversible Seat with Three Positions
The toddler seat faces parent or world direction and offers three recline positions including a full lie-flat for young toddlers. The seat adjusts without tools, and transitions from the bassinet to the seat require no adapter purchase. The seat can accommodate children from approximately 6 months through 48.5 lbs.
Real-World Performance
City sidewalks
Good urban performance. All-wheel suspension handles city pavement. 23.4" wheelbase fits standard doorways. At 29.5 lbs, pushing is effortful but the suspension makes the ride smooth for the baby.
Airport travel
Challenging. Heaviest non-Stokke stroller in the premium cluster (29.5 lbs) with a 37" fold including seat. Remove the seat for the 124L compact fold before gate-checking. Not recommended for frequent air travel.
Public transit
Difficult for subway and bus. 29.5 lbs and large fold with seat attached make one-person transit demanding. Best with car ownership for this weight class.
Suburban errands
Well suited for parking lot and store navigation. All-wheel suspension handles curb transitions. The 11-lb basket is smaller than ideal for grocery loading but manages daily errand items.
Newborn use
Outstanding from birth. Bassinet included in box eliminates accessory purchasing. The Day+ is birth-ready on delivery day with no additional preparation. Overnight-sleep-approved bassinet with ventilated design.
Park & outdoor use
All-terrain suspension wheels handle packed dirt and gravel paths confidently. Swivel front wheels manage changing direction in parks. Not designed for technical trails but handles typical park terrain well.
How the Day+ Compares
Vista V3 includes a bassinet and is $100–$250 cheaper than the Day+. Vista converts to a double stroller; Day+ does not. Vista V3 has a much larger basket (30 lbs vs Day+'s 11 lbs). Day+ wins on 10-year warranty (vs UPPAbaby's 4-year) and includes both bassinet and seat at comparable pricing.
Read full reviewFox 5 includes a bassinet but costs $200–$400 more. Fox 5 is lighter (22 vs 29.5 lbs) and has XL all-terrain wheels. Day+ wins significantly on warranty (10 years vs Bugaboo's 4 years) and includes both bassinet and seat. Fox 5 wins on weight, terrain performance, and extendable seat.
Read full reviewBoth are premium European strollers at similar weight (~29.5 lbs). Xplory X has the unique height-adjustable seat for restaurant use. Day+ includes the bassinet (Xplory X charges extra) and has a 10-year warranty. Without seat, Day+ folds to 124L vs Xplory's 254L. Day+ wins on included accessories, warranty, and fold size.
Read full reviewJoolz Hub 2 is the compact urban model at $300–$400 less. Hub 2 folds to just 104L (the most compact in the full-size category) and weighs 24.3 lbs — both significantly better. Day+ wins on included bassinet, higher seat capacity, and the same Joolz 10-year warranty. Hub 2 wins on portability.

Remove the seat for the compact 124L fold at airports
The Day+ folds with seat to 37" length — large. Without the seat, it folds to 27" x 23.4" x 12" (124L) — much more manageable. Practice seat removal before your first flight: it takes 10–15 seconds. For gate check, carry the seat in your carry-on or gate-check it separately in a bag.
Activate Joolz's warranty before your trip
Joolz's 10-year warranty is available at joolz.com. Register your stroller online and keep your purchase receipt. The warranty covers manufacturing defects; travel damage is a separate category. Registration also sets you up for the transferable warranty benefit when you eventually resell.
Car seat adapters: buy before the airport, not at
The Day+ does not include car seat adapters. If you plan to use a Maxi-Cosi, Nuna PIPA, Cybex Aton, or Clek Liing car seat with the stroller, purchase and test the adapter installation before your first travel day. Setup at the airport curb is not the time to discover compatibility issues.
29.5 lbs gate check: all major US carriers accept it
American Airlines removed its 20-lb gate-check weight cap in 2024. Delta and Southwest have never published weight limits for collapsible strollers. At 29.5 lbs, the Day+ is accepted free at gate check on all major US carriers — the limit is practical (carry difficulty), not regulatory.
The bassinet is overnight-sleep approved: use it at hotels
The Joolz Day+ bassinet is certified for overnight infant sleep — a feature worth using during hotel stays and visits to relatives. Place the stroller frame on hard flooring (engage the parking brake) and use the bassinet as an alternative to hotel-provided cribs, which are often inconsistently maintained.
Safety & Certifications
Certifications
Recalls: No CPSC recalls identified for Joolz Day+ as of April 2026. Joolz's safety page at joolz.com/us/en/quality-and-safety.html lists JPMA certification. No stroller injury incidents have resulted in a CPSC action against Joolz products. The Joolz Hub+ (phased out in US, replaced by Hub 2) was a separate model — the Day+ has no associated recalls.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Joolz Day+ worth the price?
At $1,049–$1,099, the Day+ is priced similarly to the Stokke Xplory X and below the Bugaboo Fox 5 ($1,299). Its defining value proposition is that it includes both the bassinet and the toddler seat — saving $200–$400 compared to competitors who charge extra for the bassinet. Add the 10-year transferable warranty, and the total cost of ownership calculation becomes compelling. The main trade-off is the 29.5 lb weight and 11-lb basket capacity. For families who want everything-included at a reasonable premium price and plan to keep the stroller long-term or resell it, the Day+ is a strong choice.
Can I take the Joolz Day+ on a plane?
The Joolz Day+ can be gate-checked free on all major US airlines including Delta, American, United, Southwest, and JetBlue. At 29.5 lbs, it is within all US airline gate-check weight limits — American Airlines removed its 20-lb cap in 2024. However, the 37" folded length with seat attached is large. For easier airport handling, remove the seat before folding: the resulting 27" x 23.4" x 12" fold (124L) is significantly more manageable. The Day+ is not recommended for frequent air travel at 29.5 lbs — consider a lightweight travel stroller for flight-heavy travel.
What car seats work with the Joolz Day+?
The Joolz Day+ accepts Maxi-Cosi, Nuna PIPA series, Cybex Aton series, and Clek Liing infant car seats via adapters. Adapters are sold separately and are not included in the Day+ base purchase. Unlike Nuna strollers that include the PIPA ring adapter in the box, the Joolz Day+ requires a separate adapter purchase (~$30–$60). Set up and test your adapter installation before your first outing — the adapter connects at the frame's accessory mount points and should click firmly into place.
What is included with the Joolz Day+?
The Joolz Day+ includes the stroller frame, bassinet with mattress, toddler seat with harness, canopy, and parent cup holder. This is unique among premium full-size strollers — Bugaboo Fox 5 includes a bassinet but not the toddler seat as a separate item; Cybex Priam 4 and Stokke Xplory X charge for the bassinet separately. The Day+'s all-in-one approach means there are no surprise accessory costs on day one — you need only add a car seat adapter ($30–$60) if you plan to use an infant car seat with the stroller.
How does the Joolz 10-year warranty work?
Joolz's 10-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the frame, wheels, seat structure, and mechanical components. The warranty runs from the original date of purchase and transfers to second owners with proof of the original purchase receipt. To claim warranty service, contact Joolz through joolz.com with your serial number and purchase documentation. Note: the warranty covers defects, not normal wear (fabric fading, wheel scuffs) or misuse (gate-check damage, overloading). The 10-year period is notably the longest in the stroller industry — Bugaboo offers 4 years, Silver Cross 3 years, UPPAbaby 4 years, and Nuna 2 years in comparison.
