Children 12 and under can use the TSA PreCheck lane with an enrolled parent or guardian. Teens 13 to 17 on the same reservation can too, if the PreCheck indicator appears on their boarding pass.

Yes. Hobby's Children's Play Area is past security on Level 2, near Gate 40, according to the airport's own directory and interactive map. Hobby doesn't publish hours, an age range or a list of equipment. Because the airport is a single terminal behind one checkpoint, you can walk to it from any gate. Hobby also has a free Little Library near Gate 5 and in the Central Play Area, where kids can take a book or leave one behind.
Hobby has private Mother's Rooms on Level 2 near Gate 4 and near Gate 24, and a Mamava lactation pod before security near the KPRC 2 Travel Store. The airport doesn't publish hours or access details for the rooms. Mamava pods are generally unlocked with the free Mamava app, so it's worth downloading before you fly. As a medium hub, Hobby is required by the FAM Act to have a lactation space past security.
Houston Airports says family restrooms are available inside all of its terminals, and Hobby specifically lists a companion care restroom on Level 2 between Gates 45 and 47, next to Starbucks and across from the Interfaith Chapel. Hobby doesn't publish whether it has an adult changing table or where baby changing tables are in standard restrooms.
Hobby's website doesn't mention one. Houston Airports supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program and offers Aira for blind and low-vision travellers, and it points families who need help at security to TSA Cares, which you should contact at least 72 hours before you fly. If your child needs a quiet space, the Interfaith Chapel near Gate 44 is open 24 hours.
Hobby doesn't list one. Its security page shows a main TSA checkpoint open 3:30am to 11pm and a PreCheck lane open 3:45am to 8:45pm, with live wait times. Standard TSA family rules apply: children 12 and under keep their shoes on, strollers go through the X-ray, and formula and breast milk are allowed over 3.4 oz. Children 12 and under can use PreCheck with an enrolled parent.
Hobby doesn't say. Stroller rental doesn't appear on its services page or in its Shop, Dine & Relax directory; the only rentals listed are baggage carts for a small fee. Bring your own and gate-check it under your airline's rules. With one terminal and everything on Level 2, distances at Hobby are short.
No. Hobby is a single terminal with one main TSA checkpoint, so every gate is in the same secure area. Families connecting between flights never need to leave and re-screen. International arrivals are processed on Level 1, where customs is located.
TSA's national rules apply. Formula, breast milk and baby food are allowed in your carry-on above the 3.4 oz (100 ml) limit and don't need to fit in the quart bag. Tell the officer at the start of screening and take them out of your bag. Children 12 and under can keep their shoes, light jackets and headwear on, and you can carry your child through the walk-through metal detector.
